Explore your local area during half-term

Get out and about during half-term and explore your local area. There are loads of attractions, trails and beaches to visit with the littles ones over the school holidays. Some fresh air and fun will blow the winter cob webs away.  

Here are a few to choose from:

Dallas Dhu Historic Distillery
Step back in time as your enter the Victorian distillery and discover the story of the Highland excise man.

Logie Estate and Steading
Take a wander along the river and finish at the play park for some fun and games. There are a couple of routes to choose from depending on how much exercise you want.

Elgin Cathedral
Come and discover for yourself why the cathedral earned the name ‘Lantern of the North’.

East Beach
Walk along the pebbly beach in Lossiemouth and watch the surfer catching waves. And build a grand sand castle.

Pluscarden Abbey
The abbey is the only medieval British Monastery still being used for it’s original purpose. Come along and explore the abbey and enjoy a walk around the seclude glen where it is situated.

Roseisle Beach
Relax on the sandy beach, explore the sweet-smelling pinewood or watch out for local wildlife from our bird hide.
