Moray Loves Local gift card now available to buy
Moray’s unique gift card is now available to buy online for use across a variety of local businesses.
Earlier this year Moray businesses were encouraged to sign up to accept the Moray Loves Local gift card, a scheme being delivered across the country by Scotland’s Towns Partnership (STP) in partnership with Perth-based fintech specialist Miconex.
Around 80 businesses are now signed up to accept the card and another 50 are in the process of completing registration. These can all be found on the same website the cards are available to buy from – lovelocal.scot. Cards will be posted to customers when purchased online.
Speaking about the launch for consumers, Chair of the Moray Economic Partnership, Cllr Graham Leadbitter, said: “The number of Moray businesses signed up to accept the Moray Loves Local gift card has exceeded our expectations and it’s great to see so many taking part.
“It shows the appetite is there from businesses to try new ways of driving up spending in our local economy so I hope consumers react equally as enthusiastically.
“Whether it’s a gift for a friend or family member this unique-to-Moray card is a great way to show someone they’re appreciated, all while helping to boost our economic recovery from the pandemic. A win for everyone!”
A video with a message to local people from businesses signed up to accept the card can be found here.
