Festive Message

We’re almost at the end of 2017, and what a busy year it’s been.

First and foremost, I want to pass on my thanks for the hard work you’ve all put in this year. The past 12 months have definitely had highs and lows, and although we know there’s still more of those to come next year, your commitment to delivering our services throughout is, I feel, a testament to the quality of our workforce.

You’ll be aware that budget discussions are still ongoing and our public consultation will be running until 14 January. I hope you find time to have your say on the proposals as your opinions are equally as important to us. That said, make sure you find time to relax and enjoy the company of friends, family and loved ones this festive period.

A special mention goes to the staff who’re working throughout Christmas and New Year; our roads department, who’re out and about to keep people moving safely, our carers who’re providing the best service to those who need it most, our out-of-hours teams who’re on hand to deal with any emergencies, and all other staff on call over the period.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Cllr James Allan, Convener of Moray Council.
