The results are in!

After what’s been a long wait for many, exams results are finally released for S4-S6 pupils on Tuesday.

Those registered for MySQA will begin to receive their results from 8am by phone or text, while there will no doubt be others waiting nervously by the letterbox for ‘the’ brown envelope – and that’s just the parents!

In the run up to the exams, there may have been tears or tantrums (perhaps both) and ‘encouraging’ your child to study may have felt like a never-ending battle, but regardless of the outcome, they’ll be looking to you for support.

We’ll be celebrating achievements on social media - if your son or daughter is posting then get them to tag us and we’ll ‘like’ and ‘retweet’ away. But we’ll also be posting advice on where they can turn for advice if their results weren’t quite what they were hoping for.

Just so you know, Skills Development Scotland operate an annual exams helpline. It will open be open from 8am – 8pm on 8 and 9 August, and from 9am until 5pm from 10 – 16 August. The number to call is 0808 100 8000.

We’ll also be taking part in DYW Moray’s #nowrongpath campaign on social media. We’ve roped in some of our colleagues to share their first jobs compared to where they are now – you can see this on Facebook and Twitter on Tuesday. Feel free to join in and let’s show young people in Moray that some career paths are more windy than others – and that’s ok!
