You can choose from any of the following workshops outlined below for each of the sessions on the day:
WORKSHOP 1 - The National Lottery Community Fund - David Lamont
In this session they will l look at what funding is available through the Big Lottery Fund in Scotland. They will focus on their current programmes – looking at what type of work they are trying to fund, their approaches and how to tell them your story when applying. They will have staff on hand to discuss any ideas for funding on a 1to1 basis after the presentation.
WORKSHOP 2 - CREATIVE SCOTLAND - Karen Dick
Creative Scotland is the public body that supports the arts, screen and creative industries across all parts of Scotland on behalf of everyone who lives, works or visits here. It distributes funding from the Scottish Government and The National Lottery, and these sessions offer an opportunity to ask questions about Creative Scotland funding, guidelines and process, and receive advice on development, advocacy and other sources of support.
WORKSHOP 3 - COMMUNITY SHARES SCOTLAND - Toby Sandison
Do you have aspirations to run a successful community business? Or perhaps you support people and communities with enterprising ideas? Come along to this Community Shares Scotland's workshop to learn more about the community shares funding model and how it helps community businesses grow and thrive.
WORKSHOP 4 - The GORDON & ENA BAXTER FOUNDATION - Kay Jackson
Applying to funders can sometimes feel like a totally daunting and overwhelming task. The Seminar will provide the opportunity for an informal Q&A session about the Foundation's criteria, key features of a good application and 'top tips' to provide sufficient background and information for trustees' consideration.
WORKSHOP 5 - THE ROBERTSON TRUST - Susan Lennartson
In this session They will look at what funding is available through the Robertson Trust. They will focus on who can apply, what they can fund, their funding strands, what they are looking for in an application and setting your outcomes and activities.
WORKSHOP 6 - BEATRICE FUND - Fiona Morrison
The Beatrice offshore wind farm has around £190,000 per year available for community and charitable projects. Between 2017 and 2021 they expect to invest £950,000 in local projects. They can provide you with advice and tips on how to apply etc.
