Armed Forces Day flag raised at Moray Council HQ in Elgin

The Armed Forces Day flag will be raised at Moray Council’s headquarters on Friday 26 June ahead of National Armed Forces Day 2026.

 Armed Forces Day is marked annually on the last Saturday in June to commemorate and show support for those who serve.

It is marked annually with a flag raising at Moray Council, with representatives from RAF Lossiemouth and Kinloss Barracks in attendance.

This year, Lord-Lieutenant of Moray Air Commodore Alistair Monkman CBE and Deputy Lieutenant for Banffshire, Rev Dr Kay Gauld will also be part of the event.
