National Apprenticeship Week 2019
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW 2019) takes place 4-8 March 2019.
This annual celebration of apprenticeships will bring the whole apprenticeship community together to celebrate the impact of apprenticeships on individuals, employers and the economy.
Scottish Apprenticeships continue to expand in line with the Scottish Government’s Youth Employment Strategy ambition to reach 30,000 apprenticeship starts annually by 2020.
In Moray the Modern Apprentice achievement rate is 78% and at the end of 2018 there were 748 apprentices in training across the area.
Within the council we offer Modern Apprenticeships across a number of service areas and are always looking at opportunities to support the young people of Moray. Our most recent Modern Apprentice appointments have taken place within Early Years.
DYW and partners are hosting a Moray Apprentice Showcase on 6 March from 6-8pm at the Mansfield Hotel in Elgin as part of the National Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2019. Parents and young people are encouraged to come along to this event in order to increase their awareness of the Apprenticeship Family and find out more about the opportunities within Moray.
