Confident Communications

This half day workshop will help develop your skills and confidence and enable you to communicate effectively and assertively. It will offer tips and techniques on behaving assertively and provide a toolkit for the future.

Relevant to anyone that deals directly with customers and wants to improve their confidence.

What will it cover?

On completion of the session you will be able to:

1. Describe benefits of assertive communication for the individual, colleagues and the organisation
2. Distinguish between aggression, passivity and assertion, in terms of:
a. underlying attitudes
b. verbal communication 
c. non-verbal communication (‘body language’)
3. Offer opinions, make and decline requests, offer and accept feedback and criticism, negotiate agreement, and maintain self-esteem assertively
