A reminder to all that take payments - a payment can still be made for accounts like council tax accounts and housing rent accounts even if the customer details do not pre-populate in Pay360 - as long as you have the correct account number and the amount they are looking to pay

Please be advised that the issues surrounding system speed today have been reported to ICT and they are investigating it. This is affecting all Council users and not just those of us using Lagan.

Following my original “CC Working Preferences” news item in December last year (News - December 2022 - interchange) a review of working preferences for Advisors/Seniors between January ’23 and mid-March ’23 has taken place. Although there have been some notable technical issues with laptops and most recently docking stations which were out with our control, these have now been resolved and I’m pleased to advise that I am happy to continue to support the working preferences detailed on the December news item.

One small change is noted, Karla will now work from the CC during term-time (working from home during school holidays) which was a request Karla originally made but I was unable to support until this review.

Please note that when taking into consideration numbers for the CC, I have to take into consideration all staff who can work from the CC being Advisors, Seniors, Support Team and Managers. As a result although some staff may choose not to come in on a particular day, they still have to be considered for workstation allocation.

I appreciate that personal circumstances can change so would like to take this opportunity to remind you that staff can ask for their working preference to be reviewed at any time. 24/03/2023 - All being well, HR will have the following 2 vacancies advertised on Home | myjobscotland this evening (24/03/2023):

• MOR08238 – 1 x part-time Reception Advisor, 13.50 hours per week
• MOR08240 – 1 x part-time Reception Advisor, 14.50 hours per week

Both vacancies are permanent with a closing date of the 7th of April 2023, interview dates are still to be confirmed but are likely to follow as soon as possible after this date.

13/03/2023- Following a successful interview for a position outside of the Council, Jennifer will be leaving her full-time post at Reception with her last working day being 14/04/2023. I am currently working with Andy and HR to consider how best to fill Jennifer’s post but can confirm that once permission to advertise is given, it will be advertised externally on myjobscotland. SSE have issued a message to advise Elgin and Forres areas are experiencing power cuts. They are getting engineers on to it asap and are aiming to have it restored by 14.30 today. Customers are advised to call 105 with any issues or for an update.

Please note that the Xerox printer up at the back of the CC is now in full working order after being repaired by an engineer. This can now be used by staff again.
