Under the terms of their construction contract, Springfield Properties are required to complete remedial works to the external timber cladding on some of our new build properties. This will involve painter works to the exterior of the properties, see here. The colour of paint to be used is in accordance with the planning consent for the site. 

Springfield intend to advise tenants using the attached letter, which states that works will begin on 8 July.

In light of the recent news from Aberdeen City Councils RAAC announcement please be advised that Moray Council is currently undertaking an initial desktop review of our housing stock to establish any properties which may be at risk of containing RAAC panels. Once completed if any properties are identified as at risk an appropriate inspection programme will be developed to confirm the position in the properties and then establish any appropriate mitigation measures.

We are due to begin surveying our tenants to help improve our housing service from the 8 July.

Views will be sought on issues such as repairs and maintenance, tenant participation and communication, local neighbourhoods and value for money.

The 2024 Survey will allow us to measure our progress in improving satisfaction and will also identify any further areas for improvement. The survey is being carried out by an independent organisation called Knowledge Partnership, who will contact tenants by phone between July and September. Please note they will all be calling from an Edinburgh phone number (0131 356 …) & (0131 560 ….) from this week.

If you do get a phone call from tenants regarding this, can you please advise that they can go ahead and answer the survey with confidence. All responses will be anonymous and confidential. Participation is entirely voluntary and tenants can choose not to take part in the survey.
