Bulky Bookings - Suspended Weeks

Due to new guidance issued by SEPA to all waste management teams. The waste team need to keep all waste domestic seating separate from other waste streams from uplift to disposal. Due to budget constraints there is no scope to staff another vehicle so adjustments are being made to Bulky collections and bin deliveries as follows:

Week 1 Bulkies Mon-Thursday, Friday - deliver trade & urgent bins
Week 2 Deliver bins all week

The number of bookings for Bulky uplifts will remain the same until the Waste team see how this new process works.

Bulky bookings have been suspended from 4th to 14th March. The new collection method will start week commencing 18th March (Week 1) as above, bulkies collected Mon-Thurs. Therefore when booking a bulky you will see that some weeks have been suspended, these are the weeks that no bulky uplifts will take place.

10 July 2024 – M Connect App Notifications Update - SMS and Push Notifications

We’re always striving to enhance the experience of operators, drivers and passengers on Liftango’s platform. We have listened to some feedback and our latest update improves how notifications are sent to passengers. Here’s what you need to know:

How current notifications work:
There are a lot of important notifications sent to passengers, from pickup time and location, to drivers being on the way or arriving at their pickup location and other important information relating to the service.
• Any passengers that have installed the passenger app and are actively using it, receive push notifications for all updates as standard, and no SMS messages are sent.
• If passengers are no longer using the app, they will need to uninstall it from all their devices to receive SMS messages again.
• Any passengers that do not use the passenger app and book over the phone, will receive text messages as standard.

What’s New?
For app users that require it, they can now enable sms as well as push notifications when using their passenger app. This will greatly assist where Carers/Relatives are making bookings in the app on behalf of a passenger.

For users with someone logging into the app on their behalf (for example a carer or relative) or those using a device that is only wifi enabled (for example using a tablet at home), there is now an option to send SMS text messages* as well as push notifications on the app.

Setting the Preference
Users navigate to their profile in the mobile app and can toggle the Notification Preference for “Send as SMS” and select Update Profile. Please note the minimum app version of 4.27.0 is required for this feature.

9 July 2024 – Change to Licensing Emails from Police Scotland

Following a process change request raised to Senior Solicitor Sean Hoath, I am pleased to confirm that Development Services have now changed the Email address Police Scotland respond to when asked to give comments on new licensing applications from licensing@moray.gov.uk to ldsadmin@moray.gov.uk.

Although the change will take several weeks to fully filter through, when it does, it will significantly reduce the number of time sensitive Licensing Emails handled by Customer Services.

21 June 2024 – Car Park Discount Extension V69391

Can you please extend the reduced charge of £60.00 on the above ECN to Friday 5 July 2024. The customer’s name is Miss PRISCA ZEZE, reg EN14 LSO.

20 June 2024 – Town Centre Grant Scheme Closed

We have been made aware that some application forms have been sent through to Strategic Planning in reference to the Town Centre Grant Scheme.

Please note the closure date for applications of this nature was on 8th January 2024 and so they are no longer accepting submissions. This is available to see on the webpage here.

19 June 2024 – ECN Remainder Balance V69584

Customer has paid £30 already in an instalment - service has phoned customer and explained that he is either repaying £60 before 5pm on 28th June or £80 if after that.

Please be advised when he next calls, the £30 will need to be factored into what his balance is. Customers details below:

19 June 2024 – Gollachy Recycling Centre Closed until 11:30

Please be advised Gollachy Recycling Centre has been closed this morning - it should be open from 11:30 onwards.

17 June 2024 – 240ltr Blue & Purple Recycling Bins

Waste currently have a limited supply of 240ltr blue and purple bins, therefor they will be reserved for new build properties until they receive the delivery.

Delivery is due the first couple of weeks in July but we will confirm when they have been received.

17 June 2024 – Bulky Collections - Update

Please be advised that the waste team were unable to finish the bulky collections today (Friday 14 June). There were 7 in total, we don't have the address at the moment but will be updated Monday morning. If anyone phones in prior to then please advise we will return on Monday to uplift them. Please apologise for any inconvenience caused.

11 June 2024 - Licensing Script Update

Please be advised there has been a small update to the Licensing script.

When processing enquiries that have email attachments, these will now be forwarded to the Mailroom rather than LDS Admin. The script guidance has been updated accordingly.

6 June 2024 - Surface Dressing Programme

Please be advised that the Moray Council are currently undertaking a surface dressing programme containing 112no sites. Linked here is a list of the sites that are due to be done shortly.

Please be aware that these works are very weather dependent, so tje programme often has to change at short notice. Updates can be found on the webpage here.
