SVQs - Social Services and Healthcare or Children and Young People

The following SVQs are work-related qualifications based on National Occupational Standards developed collaboratively with the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Qualifications available with Moray Council:
SVQ Level 2 - Social Services and Healthcare -To achieve this award, candidates are required to complete six units. Four core/mandatory units plus two optional units
SVQ Level 3 - Social Services and Healthcare- To achieve this award, candidates are required to complete eight units. Four core/mandatory units plus four optional units
SVQ Level 4 - Social Services and Healthcare - To achieve this award, candidates are required to complete eight units. Four core/mandatory units plus four optional units
SVQ Level 2 - Social Services (Children and Young People) - To achieve this award, candidates are required to complete six units. Four core/mandatory units plus two optional units
SVQ Level 3 - Social Services (Children and Young People) - To achieve this award, candidates are required to complete eight units. Four core/mandatory units plus four optional units.
Candidates will generate evidence towards this qualification through a variety of evidence methods including observed practice.
