Training Resources
Staff library
There are lots of opportunities for developing and progressing your learning. We’ve a variety of internal courses and external opportunities. Find more information below and by using the menu to select a course.
The social work training team fund many of the books available via the staff library in the Annexe. The library system is managed by our library staff, and regularly checked and restocked.
If you want to borrow books you must complete a borrower card and send this to Elgin Library. You’ll then be issued with a library card and one for using online services. These are similar to standard library cards, but with an ‘S’ which identifies them as a staff card. You will only be able to check out books from the staff library, not other Moray libraries.
If you need to borrow books at the time of completing your borrower card information, please put the barcode number of the books being borrowed on the back of their card (in pencil). Once your card has been issued, you can use the self-service machine. Leave returned books on the shelves beside the library.
- Loan period is four weeks, after which our libraries service will issue overdue letters
- Renewals can be made online (once you’ve registered) or by phone. After that books must be taken to the nearest library to be renewed
- You can return the books to any library in Moray and they will ensure the books are returned
