PDA Administration of Medication

The PDA Health and Social Care: Administration of Medication at SCQF level 7 is also designed to provide Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for employees who are in a job role where they assist or administer medication to individuals.
This knowledge based Unit complements the practical Unit DK2X 04 (HSC375/CHS3) Administer Medication to Individuals.
Where you are studying this Unit as part of the PDA Health and Social Care: Administration of Medication at SCQF level 7 you will also be undertaking the SVQ Unit DK2X 04 Administer Medication to Individuals.
The unit is delivered through a combination of taught sessions and self study leading towards completing a written assignment as well as reflection and observed practice for unit DK2X 04.
Who should attend?
Staff in services who are already qualified to SCQF level 5 and who are involved in administering medication to individuals on a regular basis.
The duration of this course is six mandatory sessions plus 40 hours study.
