You may have heard people talk about Workforce Culture – but what is it? It's difficult to define, but it generally relates to the behaviours that are the norm in your work environment.
Culture is the environment that surrounds you at work all of the time. It shapes your work enjoyment, your work relationships, and your work processes. You cannot see culture, instead you feel what it's like.
At Moray Council we're developing a positive workforce culture, where employees feel valued and respected, where problems are addressed, behaviours are positive and people management is described as great. Our Workforce Culture group has defined a range of actions and are continually working to make things better for you at work with and there are more activities planned for the future. However we can't change the culture alone, we need your help. Everyone has the responsibility to ensure that their workplace environment is a positive one.
