2026 STAR Awards are open!

Celebrating the colleagues and teams who make a positive difference

Do you know a colleague or team who goes the extra mile, supports others, or helps make Moray Council a great place to work? Now is your chance to say thank you.

The STAR Awards — Special Thanks and Recognition — celebrate colleagues and teams whose actions, behaviours or achievements support better services for our communities and help others feel valued, supported and proud of their contribution.

You can nominate an individual colleague or a team, whether they work in your own service or another area of the Council. Nominations can recognise a wide range of contributions, including:

  • improving services
  • supporting people, wellbeing and inclusion
  • helping communities
  • showing leadership, resilience or safe working
  • working together to achieve shared goals

  • You can include up to three pieces of supporting information if helpful.
  • Use the nomination guidance for help with completing your nomination.
  • Submit your completed form by 28 August 2026.
