Fridges: Those provided by us will be cleaned once per week by catering staff; any items which are past the use by date will be disposed of during this process for hygiene purposes. Please label all items with your name and if personal food containers are left with rotten food these will be disposed of during cleaning. If any of your items have a spill please wipe up appropriately to save fridge from smelling. Fridges provided by a department will not be cleaned by facilities/catering staff.

Dining area: You are encouraged to use these areas to have lunch and breaks. Eating at workstations is discouraged.

Crockery: You are requested to provide your own equipment for dining, which can be kept in your personal storage area. This helps ensure a clean workspace for all staff and avoids a build-up of unwanted and dirty crockery. Crockery left in cupboards and work surfaces will be removed on Fridays to avoid redundant items building up.

Microwaves: These are available for staff to use in the dining areas. To avoid smells spreading through the building it is requested that strong-smelling foods are not heated. Please wipe out the microwave after use to leave it in a clean state for the next user.

Boiling water taps: These are the taps are within the Annexe only and are by the round stainless steel draining areas. There is a safety button on the tap which is found at the front, above the spout.
