12 June 2023 – Credit Bills

We have made a change to the message on credit bills as we tighten up on how we deal with credit balances.

The message on a credit bill has been ‘This account is overpaid. A refund of this overpayment will be issued to you soon’.

Below is a link to a copy of a bill for your information to show what the amended message is:

Credit Bill Example

If we already hold bank details, a refund will be issued to that bank account.

If we do not hold bank details, a credit form should be emailed or posted to the customer to obtain their bank details.

22nd May 2023 - Automated Line Balances Issue - Update 21/06/23

30/05/2023 - ICT have advised this is being raised with Civica, as it is what is coming out of Open Revenues and not just an upload issue to Capita.

22/05/2023 - Please be aware that council tax balances are not showing correct on Capita. The banking team have confirmed that any payments received haven’t updated against balances. IT are aware of the issue and are trying to fix the problem. This is also affecting the automated payment lines.

Updates will be posted here in due course.

Update 21/06: Revenues have advised that an escalation has been raised to Civica regarding this issue and that an update is still pending.
