27th November 2023 – Tenant Participation Strategy Consultation

The Housing and Community Safety Committee have agreed we can consult on the revised Tenant Participation Strategy.

We will be contacting tenants this week to inform them of the consultation and request their feedback. The consultation will be online which offers financial and resource savings and is more environmentally friendly. Paper copies of information and the survey are available on request. Any queries about the consultation can be directed to tenantparticipation@moray.gov.uk.

Survey respondents will have the option to be entered into a prize draw to win £75 of shopping vouchers. Terms and conditions and privacy notice are included on the webpage.

The consultation will end on Friday 16 February 2024. An update report detailing the outcome of the consultation and providing a revised Tenant Participation Strategy for approval will be presented to the Housing and Community Safety Committee on 7 May 2024.

The consultation will be publicised by PR and promoted in Tenants’ Voice and across social media platforms.

27th November 2023 – Scheduler Update

Please be advised that Steven Stewart (07929655120) will be covering Air Source repairs for today only - Monday 27th November. From tomorrow it will be back to Denise.

23rd November 2023 – Keyfund Scheme Advice

Please be advised we have been in contact with Housing Policy and the team have confirmed the Moray Keyfund is not currently in operation. The webpages and leaflet have been archived temporarily until such time as management review the scheme and consider reintroducing it at some point in the future.

21st November 2023 – Housing Consultation - Rent Setting Policy & Increases

Just to make you aware that a new housing consultation is due to start following commiteee approval on 21.11.23. Housing are consulting on the revised Rent Setting Policy and on the annual rent increase. They are contacting tenants and housing list applicants to invite them to take part in an online survey. Letters will include a QR code to the survey and emails will include a hyperlink. These are due to be issued from 22.12.23.

The survey has been set up so that tenants can answer questions on both the Rent Setting Policy and the annual rent increase. In their letter/email, tenants are provided with informaiton about the features of their home. If these are not correct, they can answer questions included in the survey to update the service on what the information should be. Housing list applicants and other members of the public will only be able to answer questions on the Rent Setting Policy. The consultation is online but hard copies are available on request (from Housing Policy). It will close on 5 Jan 2024. The webpage for the consultation can be found here.

20th November 2023 – Planned iWorld Downtime Today

Housing have advised that i-World will be applying a fix to a system issue today at 12 noon. This may have an impact on housing scripts when trying on confirm dates of birth or access housing applications and rent accounts.

If you experience any issues please advise your customer the system is down and ask that they call back either in the afternoon or tomorrow.

As soon as the system is made available again we will update this post.

6th November 2023 – Scheduler Update

Please be advised that Steven Stewart (Electrical and Plumbing Scheduler) is off this week, any Electrical or Plumbing calls should be directed to any other scheduler.
