27th September 2023 - IMT Script Change

Please note there will be a script change published tonight at 5pm concerning the Income Maximisation Team process.

As from 1st April 2023, the Income Maximisation Team are no longer funded by EU in which it was stipulated it was to cover working age customers only as part of EU funding criteria.

Income Maximisation Team are now funded by UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund and this covers all ages who need help with their UK or Scottish benefits. To align with this change in teh script there will no longer be the question to assess eligibility for the service, as by default all customers are now eligible regardless of working age. The script will now direct you to either Self or Agency referral and then straight to IMT Enquiry or Personal Budgeting Support.

26th September 2023 - M Connect Forres Bus Paused

Please note a Forres Bus has been paused for new bookings this afternoon.

20th September 2023 - M Connect Forres Bus 1

Please note Forres Bus One has been paused for new bookings this morning. All pre made booking are honoured.

19th September 2023 – Existing Money Advice Client Cases

Please be reminded that all existing clients to Money Advice when asking for a specific adviser, their case should be allocated to that money adviser specifically in Lagan through the script. These cases should not be allocated to the general queue.

19th September 2023 - Thom Street, Hopeman Closures

There have been a few enquiries about the website being wrong about the closure on the above street. Please note the website is correct – there are now 2 separate closures on the same street.

9/10 for 9 days and 18/9 for 5 days. The website will be updated shortly when admin have processed the application.

19th September 2023 - SMS Messaging from M/Connect drivers/buses

Following on from several messages received over the past week from M.Connect drivers (particularly Forres Bus 1) I made contact with the PTU team to raise concerns (and provided examples) Lagan records appeared to show the messages as coming from one of the Forres busses (Forres bus 1). PTU have advised that on checking the messages have come from relief driver/s so have arranged for a refresher to all that SMS messaging to Customer Services is not required. All outstanding Emails have been recorded on Lagan as avoidable contact for information purposes to allow them to be resolved and closed.

Should you see any future Emails coming in from M.Connect drivers, please do not hesitate to let Seniors know so that they can raise as an issue to the Support Team, thank you in advance, Donna, CS Team Leader.

18th September 2023 - M Connect Bookings Frozen - Buckie, Elgin, Speyside, Keith, Forres

Please be advised the following buses are currently frozen for new bookings:

15th September 2023 - Waterford Recycling Centre

The waste team hae advised due to a machanical failue of site plant, Waterford Recycing Centre will close at 15:30 today, Friday 16 September 2023. They hope to have the issue resolved to be able to reopen tomorrow Morning

15th September 2023 - M Connect - Bus Frozen - Forres, Keith and Elgin

PTU have advised there seems to be network problems in Moray again today and have frozen Forres bus 1, Keith bus 2, Elgin 2 & 3.

14th September 2023 - MConnect Issues with EE Network

Please be advised there is a widespread issue with customers using EE network today and so may not receive messages on MConnect. If any customers call in to say they are not getting messages from MConnect please ask them which network they are on, it may also affect tablet devices.

13th September 2023 - ECN V68152 Extension to Reduced Payment Period

The above Excess Charge Notice has had the £60 payment period extended until 5pm on 26 September 2023. I have marked this on the database. The customer’s name is Natalie Moran, vehicle registration DO51 ANO.

13th September 2023 - ASB eForm Script Change

A change has been made to the Anti-Social Behaviour eForm that affects both the Housing and Environmental Health script.

Under the location details of the incident there will now be a section with three boxes to add an optional grid or 'What3Words' reference. This pertains to the What3Words locating website. Customers are familiar with this application so if all advisors can ask the customer if they have a reference this can now be passed to the service via the eForm details. Please note this is only optional as some customers may not use this.

12th September 2023 - Short-term Let, online application now live

Moray Council Solicitor Jenny Smith, has advised of the following:

I am pleased to advise that applicants can now apply for their STL licence electronically. The online application is now live on the Council’s STL website page here (12/09/2023 approx 12:00)

The new process is more user friendly for applicants; they are guided through the process with section specific guidance notes, they don’t need to complete all sections in one go or in numerical order, they can upload supporting documents as they work through each section and can also pay the licence fee online. Any queries/issues the public have when using the Eform should be sent to LicensingApplications@moray.gov.uk.

From an operational perspective, when the Eform is submitted to us the data entered is automatically pushed into the licensing database.

8th September 2023 - 314 Bus Service Issues

Please be advised that the 314 bus broke down this morning, the driver has now picked up a spare bus and has recommenced the service.

5th September 2023 - Forres Bus 1

PTU have advised that Forres Bus 1 has been paused

4th September 2023 - Temporary Traffic Lights at Pittendriech / Allaburn Bridge

Temporary Lights at Pittendriech /Allaburn Bridge – for your information, we have received 2 reports of these lights not working. Both times Contraflow have sent operatives out and the lights were working fine. They did suggest that the bright sunlight shining on them might make it unclear. Just in case you get any calls.

1st September 2023 - Car Parking Fines Invoices - Update

01/09/23 - Scripts have been amended with intructions for taking invoice payments for car parking fines.

If you have any questions, please raise with your senior in the first instance.

18/08/23 - Following discussions with the Car Parking Team it has come to light that when a customer has been invoiced for an unpaid fine they do not advise that they have received an invoice and we take a payment like we would normally prior to invoicing. The Team have updated the payment details box of all fines this year that have been invoiced with the invoice number.

Scripts are in the process of being updated with guidance on taking invoice payments for parking fines. Once this is done we will let you know. 

In the meantime please can you do the following: 

  • If payment reference in the Fines Database shows paid with i1234567 in the payment ref box. In Pay360 select fund - accounts receivable and enter the number from the payments ref box replacing the i with 88 into the Account Reference box. This will populate with the customer's details and balance on the invoice. 
  • Once payment has been successful, update the fine replacing the inv number with Inv Paid and complete the case to pass through to the team.

1st September 2023 – Issue affecting NEC cards ordered via Parents Portal Content

01/09/2023 (08:45) - Information from National Entitlement Card Office (NECPO). It's come to our attention that a number of cards requested by parents via the parentsportal mobile app over the last few weeks were submitted to CMS and sent out without including the 5-11 concessionary travel (PA). These cards will have had new, correct replacement cards ordered by the Improvement Service over the past day or so and e-mails have been sent out to parents advising them of this.

If a parent contacts you about a non-working card and a replacement has already been requested when you check the record, please advise them that the new card is on its way.

To ensure that cards were sent out as quickly as possible, all incorrect requests have been replaced.

Just to clarify - there is NO option to request any card other than a Junior card with travel and parental approval card via parentsportal.
