30th August 2023 – Recycling Bins not collected on Route 78

Due to operational issues Blue and Purple recycling bins were not collected in the following areas of route 78. Whiteinch, Mains of Struthers and along the B9011 from Kinloss to Forres. Please advise customers to leave their bins out or present them for 7.30am tomorrow when we will return to empty them.

29th August 2023 – Brown and Green 240ltr bins

We have been advised that there is no stock of brown and green 240ltr bins. They were ordered back in May but the order was delayed on a number of occasions and we only just received then the end of last week.There is a far back log and clearing it as quickly as we can.

28th August 2023 – No Glass Recycling Route 81

Due to operational issues we are unable to collect glass on Route 81 in Dufftown today. Please advise customers to leave their glass boxes/bags out for collection on Tuesday 29th August or present them for 7.30am. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

25th August 2023 - Flexible Food Fund update

This afternoon Money Advice Moray has exhausted our funding of £562,000 from the Flexible Food Fund to those in need facing difficulties with the Cost of Living Crisis in Moray.

Therefore, we will not be accepting any more referrals or applications with immediate effect.

Our service is still open and are following teams within Money Advice Moray are still operating and supporting the people of Moray to deal with:

Money Advice : To assist with people who have debt matters such as rent/mortgage arrears, Council Tax arrears, Loans including payday loans/personal loans, Mobile phone/broadband, Store and Credit cards, Store and Credit Cards.

They can also assist with people who are not in debt but are concerned that their current income and expenditure may lead them to debt and can assist with completion of a financial statement and advise what options are available.

Income Maximisation: who provide advice and assistance on Social Security and Local Welfare Benefits. They can check that customers are obtaining all the correct benefit entitlements. They can also assist with completion of benefit application forms and help you with budgeting and create a personal budget, giving more control and helping their monies go further.

Welfare Benefits: provide advice, assistance and representation in connection with those who wish to challenge an unfavourable Social Security benefit decision through an appeal process. They will also provide advice and assistance to customers if they wish to consider a higher rate of a Social Security disability benefit than they are currently on due to a severe deterioration of health since their original award.

22nd August 2023 - Grounds maintenance in Keith and Speyside areas

Grounds maintenance works in Keith and Speyside areas are currently behind schedule due to operational issues. This includes grass cutting and weed control. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused by this disruption.

22nd August 2023 - M Connect update

Please be advised that Forres bus 1 is frozen to new bookings, service is running for bookings already made.

11th August 2023 - M Connect Script Amendment

The M Connect script has been updated to remove the need to message the driver when cancelling a booking for the same day.

8th August 2023 – No Glass Recycling – Route 77

Due to operational issues we will not be able to collect the Glass recycling today on route 77. Please advise customers to leave their glass containers out or present them for 7.30am tomorrow when we will return to empty them. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

4th August 2023 – ECN V68152 Extension to Reduced Payment Period

The above Excess Charge Notice has had the £60 payment period extended until 5pm on Friday 18 August 2023. I have marked this on the database. The customer’s name is Natalie Moran, vehicle registration DO51 ANO.

1st August 2023 – Trade Waste Glass Recycling Collection Update

The issues with the glass collections at Elgin golf club, Kimberley Inn and Knockomie Hotel are due to the regular driver being on annual leave and his replacements not completing the rounds correctly. The driver on the routes this week has been instructed to service all bins and lift any excess.

With regards to the glass skips at Tesco in Buckie and Forres, due to sickness we haven’t had the manpower to service these skips. These skips will be serviced by Wednesday afternoon.
