Armed Forces Day

Armed Forces Day is a chance for us to show our support to the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving personnel to Service families, veterans and cadets.

The celebration takes place on the last Saturday each June, falling this year on 29 June.

Moray is home to a large Armed Forces community and has the highest population percentage of Veterans, with 9% of our population having served in the Armed Forces.

To mark the occasion Moray Council will be raising the Armed Forces Flag on Friday 28 June ahead of National Armed Forces Day to recognise and celebrate Moray’s military and defence community.

You can find out more about this national event via the Armed Forces Day website.

Thank you to all the men and women who make up our Armed Forces community, for their sacrifices and for the contribution they have made and continue to make.
