First ever Moray Mòd to take place
This week, on Friday 11 September, will see the first ever Moray Mòd take place in Elgin.
A whole day of events is planned, with performances including singing, piping, fiddle and clarsach, and are designed to enable participation of all age and interest groups. Further details available on the Gaelic in Moray website.
Moray Council is involved with a number of Gaelic initiatives as part of its Gaelic Language Plan.
These include Gaelic bookbug sessions for toddlers and the availability of a free book about Gaelic place names in Moray, while a short video from broadcaster Alec Valtos teaching helpful Gaelic phrases is available on Viva Engage.
