School Meals are back from Wednesday 20 August!

The countdown to back-to-school is on – and so is the return of our delicious school lunches! From nursery to secondary, we’ve got something tasty on the menu every single day.

Think Bubblefish, Roast Chicken, Spring Rolls, and even Orange Cake with Fruit. Whether your child’s all about their five-a-day or just here for pudding, there’s something they’ll love on their tray!

Here’s a quick look at what’s what:

  • P1–P5 pupils get free school meals
  • P6–P7 pupils get free school meals if eligible for Scottish Child Payment (SCP)
  • P6–P7 meals cost £2.50 for all other pupils
  • Eligible secondary pupils receive a £2.75 meal allowance, usable at break or lunchtime.

Paying for meals is easy – pupils can either bring cash or use the ipay. Just a quick reminder: with mobile phones banned during the school day, any pre-orders will need to be placed at home before school.

If your child has a special dietary need, we’ve got that covered too. Our catering team can provide adapted menus to support children with medically diagnosed dietary requirements. Just let your school know or email us at schoolmeals@moray.gov.uk
