Approved Awareness Days Calendar 2025
Each year the council is asked to support a number of awareness days – local, national and international. With so many taking place each month an agreed calendar of the ones Moray Council will support annually is below. This aligns with the flag flying policy that was approved by the Corporate Committee on 5 November 2024.
The activity for each awareness day varies from a social media post; internal communications; flags being flown; or lighting up of the Ladyhill monument and Plainstones fountain to a fuller public comms campaign highlighting the specific work of services involved. The comms team has a plan of all these throughout the year and if services have any projects they think could be highlighted to tie in with any of the awareness days please get in touch via pr@moray.gov.uk.
