Employee Appreciation Scheme - June 2021

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it has been an extremely challenging time and here at Moray Council we would like to acknowledge and appreciate the scale of effort being made every day by our colleagues to keep services going and bring services back on board.  In the absence of the STAR Awards in 2020 due to Covid 19, we are introducing the Employee Appreciation Scheme to recognise the contribution of individuals and teams during this challenging period.

Many thanks to Charlie and Laura at Elgin Library for delivering online Bug Sessions for World Book Day and Book Bug Week. Thanks also go to Gabriella at Buckie Library for recording storytelling segments. Book Bug sessions are traditionally delivered in small groups within the libraries. As the service is looking at new ways to deliver services and create digital content for the service youtube account having staff that can adapt and volunteer to record sessions that can be broadcasted and made available to our young library users is invaluable. Many thanks to these members of staff for leading the way and putting so much care and energy into their performances.

I would like to put forward Aileen Scott from the legal department. Aileen has been so helpful to the whole department during the pandemic, not just in relation to work but also ensuring staff morale and wellbeing during and throughout the pandemic. Aileen goes above and beyond for all departments and staff members. Often putting others before herself and sacrificing so much of her own time to ensure that things in the department run well. We just wanted to say a huge thank you. We really appreciate everything you do for the team!

Submitting a message:

You can submit your information about an individual or team that you believe deserves recognition for the difference they are making, either electronically by emailing employeeappreciation@moray.gov.uk.  Alternatively, hard copy forms will be available and these can be downloaded from Interchange or accessed through line managers, or you can submit your message or request a form by calling 07815647352 between 9.30am - 12.30pm Mondays and Tuesdays. Outside of these hours please leave an answer phone message.

 

Please include the following in your message:

  • Individuals name, Department and email address

Or

  • Teams role, Department and email address
  • What Message or quote you would like displayed.
  • If you would like your praise to be anonymous or are you happy for your name and /or role to publish with your message.
