World Menopause Day

Let’s Talk Menopause…..

18 October marks the World Menopause Day 2023.  The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of the menopause and the support options available for improving health and wellbeing. The conversation around menopause is getting louder however it is recognised that there is still a lot of misunderstanding about the significant impact this transition period can have on an individual.

Did you know….

  • 1 in 4 women consider leaving their job due to menopause
  • 1 in 10 women will leave the workforce because of their symptoms
  • 50% have reduced their working hours because of their menopausal symptoms
  • 3 out of 4 women will experience menopausal symptoms

The council recently introduced a Menopause Policy to recognise the importance of this transition in life and put in place a framework to support individuals going through this period which also aims at assisting managers in providing the right type of support.  An eLearning module was also launched which raises awareness for all on the symptoms and impacts menopause can have not only on the individual but the people around them.  If you have not have a chance to complete this module why not log into CLIVE now to find out more.
