State of Caring Survey 2022 – Carers UK

The State of Caring Survey 2022 was launched last week and is aimed at current (and former) unpaid carers who look after a relative or friend who is disabled, older or seriously ill.  The survey looks into the experiences of carers, discovering the good and the bad, to build a picture of what it is like to be a Carer in 2022.

Last year there were over 8,000 responses which helped create a unified voice for carers. This information provided evidence used in Carers UK and Carers Scotland campaigns and the carers’ collective voice and evidence was used to secure new rights for carers in the Health and Social Care Act 2022 in England, to campaign for cost of living increases in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, to provide evidence of the need for a right to Carer’s Leave and other support within the workplace, and to campaign for breaks and funding for social care - and there’s still much more to do!

In the survey you’ll be asked to say what life is like now, and what needs to change. Your responses will enable Carers UK to be more focused in their work and to communicate to decision makers what really matters to you.

This is the most extensive survey into carers' experiences in the UK. As a result, it may take 20-30 minutes to complete (You can skip questions if you don’t have so much time) - so grab a cuppa and get comfy!
