Moray Gaelic Group

Moray Gaelic Group have recommenced their lessons. Covid put a stop to the group at the beginning of the pandemic but the Gaelic enthusiasts have now returned to Moray College every Monday evening at seven o’clock. They are deeply grateful for the facilities that the College have once again offered.

The first part of the class is suitable for anyone that has been learning at home with Duolingo Gaelic or with other online resources or traditional learners books. The emphasis of the class will be on conversation and each week they will be using material from the new Speak Gaelic course. Speak Gaelic was created by Bòrd na Gàidhlig, Sabhal Mór Ostaig and MG Alba. The site will be launched soon online, on television and social media.

As well as learners, Speak Gaelic hopes to help those that are not so confident with their Gaelic and hopes to give them an opportunity to take things forward. Speak Gaelic is also suitable for those that want to work by themselves at home.

The Chair of the group, Micheal McClafferty, said: “At Moray Gaelic Group you can be certain that you will get a warm welcome, good company and craic while you are learning Gaelic.”

The next class will be on Monday the 18th of October.
