Moray Council Joins Scottish Government Data Maturity Programme

24/08/2026

Moray Council has joined the Scottish Government's Data Maturity Programme, a national initiative that helps public sector organisations improve how they manage, use and share data.

Over the coming months, colleagues from across the Council will work together to assess our current data maturity, identify opportunities for improvement and develop a roadmap to strengthen data governance, data quality and access to information.

This programme supports the ambitions set out in the Council's Data Strategy and will help us make better use of trusted information to support decision-making, service improvement and innovation.

The programme is a Council-wide initiative and successful delivery will depend on participation from services across the organisation. Some colleagues will be invited to take part in workshops and engagement activities as the programme progresses.

We want to hear from you. If you are passionate about improving how information is managed and used, have ideas about how data could help improve services, or would simply like to be involved in shaping the Council's data future, please get in touch. Your knowledge, experience and insights can help ensure the programme delivers meaningful benefits for colleagues, services and communities across Moray.

Contact: Gregor McNicol, Konrad Wallach or Nigel Jones.

Better Data. Better Insight. Better Outcomes.
