HQ Campus Telephone System – Maintenance Works on Thursday 22nd August - Updated 22/08/2024

British Telecom (BT) will be completing scheduled maintenance-based works on the HQ Campus telephone system on Thursday 22nd August at approx. 10:00am. These works will necessitate a system reboot on completion. Although the works shouldn’t be service affecting these is a chance that the telephone handsets may reset during the reboot process. If this should occur, we envisage a brief loss of telephony service while the telephone handsets re-register to the telephone system.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, the BT based maintenance works which was completed this morning has resulted in a large volume of telephone handsets sitting in an off-line mode, with a display message of ‘Acquiring Service’. To fix, ICT staff will require to visit each telephone handset to perform a reset and reconfiguration. This work has already commenced, however if there are any services/staff who require their handset/extension be operation as a matter of priority, can you please contact the ICT Helpdesk via the contact details below.
