Parents Portal: volunteers needed
21/02/2020
We’re looking for volunteers to help us test out Parents Portal, ahead of its release to parents across Moray.
Parents Portal is a nationwide platform that’s already been released by other local authorities such as West Lothian. Before we start rolling it out across Moray, we want to make sure it does the job and is easy to use.
To do this we’re looking for volunteers who have children enrolled at any school in Moray, and who can spare a little of their time to make sure all parents can benefit.
Testing will be held in meeting room 4 on 11 March from 11:00 to 12:15.
If you’re interested in helping email julie.christie@moray.gov.uk with your contact details.
What’s Parents Portal?
This new digital platform will make it easier for parents to stay engaged with their child’s school life, no matter where they are and at a time to suit them.
Parents who register with the portal, which can be access on any computer or mobile device, will be able to:
- Report absences
- Make school payments
- Authorise permission slips
- See their child’s timetable
- Annual data check on performance
- And much more…
This should make life easier for parents throughout Moray, as well as save time and money on printing and passing letters in the school bag run.
