Summer Heating

In line with the Council’s Heating Policy, and in support of reducing utility consumption and carbon emissions, all buildings users are reminded that all council heating systems will be switched off from 1 June to the middle of October. Exceptions to this are:
• Swimming pools
• Sports facilities
• School buildings and nurseries with young children
• Buildings with vulnerable and elderly occupants and
• Buildings which operate outside normal office hours
In spaces where occupants have direct control of their heating temperature it is expected that they will set the work place thermostats in accordance with the council’s Heating Policy.
