Earth Hour

This Saturday, between 8.30-9.30pm, our illuminated landmarks in Elgin will be plunged into darkness to mark Earth Hour.
The council will turn off lights at the Landshut Bridge, along with the Wolf of Badenoch and Drummer Boy statues, and the tower on the High Street. This is part of WWF’s Earth Hour that's celebrated annually by millions across the world; this year they’re asking people to make a #PromiseForThePlanet, by reducing energy consumption, switching to green energy or cutting down on the amount of plastic they use.
