Is taking part in elections important to you? Then please return the canvass form arriving on your doorstep
More than 276,000 annual canvass forms are currently arriving at every household in Grampian and you need to respond if you want to vote.
In fact, you could be fined if you don't.
The best way to do this is online, though there are alternatives outlined in the form itself.
The annual canvass is essentially a check on where everyone lives which allows those at an address who are eligible to register to vote.
It is one of the checks which ensures the integrity of our elections.
If a household fails to respond to the canvass, there will be follow up letters and a home visit.
Please watch out for the form, and if you can please respond online - it's quick, easy and costs the public purse less.
Since 2010, the number of local households responding online has risen from 28,000 to 80,000.
If more people continue to use this form of response, even more public money will be saved, which can be spent on local services.
Your Vote Matters, Don't lose it.
