Your Bright Ideas! are making changes


Our staff suggestion scheme Bright Ideas! received a number of suggestions, where employees submitted their ideas which would contribute towards savings and service efficiency. One of the suggestions related to making better use of the internal mail system and will now be implemented across the Council.

Currently, some communications from the council are being sent to employees' home addresses via Royal Mail, when they could have been sent via the internal mail system. By making better use of the internal mail system, financial savings can be achieved.

Managers within services have been asked to review their processes with a view to determining whether the communication can be sent by internal mail instead of Royal Mail.
