World Book Day

Start Date: 01/03/2018

End Date: 01/03/2018

Celebrating World Book Day at Moray Libraries

World Book Day takes place on Thursday 1 March and children in schools up and down the country will be dressing up and receiving £1 book tokens to spend as they wish. At Moray libraries, we will also be celebrating books and reading in many different ways.

Pop along to Elgin Library for a special storytime and a brilliant open Bookbug session. Our staff will be dressed up as characters from the well-loved children’s author Julia Donaldson’s books and will be well and truly in World Book Day mode.

At 3pm there will be the opportunity to relax and reminisce while looking at objects and browsing through books from the 50s, 60s and 70s - all accompanied with a cuppa.

In the evening, from 6 until 7pm ,  drop-in to our Julia Donaldson themed craft session – suitable for children aged between 6 and 10 years.

Throughout the day there will be puzzles and treasure hunts on hand for inquisitive minds. As well as a collection of old photographs from our local heritage centre.

Library members will also be able to find out more about the FREE eBooks, eAudiobooks and ComicPlus online services available.

Everyone is welcome, so come along and join in the fun.
